Melissa grew up in Blaine, Minnesota to a family of beloved educators. Her Dad was a Middle School Counselor and Mom worked for the Department of Education. Melissa gained her competitive edge through years in the pool eventually swimming for the University of St. Thomas where she graduated with a degree in Catholic Studies and Psychology. She went on to receive her master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. Melissa realized her love of people and business when she joined a large recruiting firm. She has spent 12+ years working with individuals and companies achieve success through job placement and coaching within manufacturing, Healthcare and Software industries. Melissa has firsthand experience building highly successful cultures and teams and helping companies do the same.
Melissa along with her husband Tom have three kiddos George, Leo, and June. In her free time, she enjoys discovering new restaurants, traveling, and watching / playing sports with her kiddos.
Tom grew up on the east side of St. Paul, MN, and developed a passion for mechanics from a young age. One notable instance involved enhancing a lawnmower's power by scavenging parts from discarded machines he found while riding his bike. Despite briefly becoming the neighborhood's top mower, it eventually malfunctioned. This setback inspired him to pursue a deeper understanding of engines.
After graduating from Harding High School, he enrolled in Dakota County Technical College's GM ASEP program, earning his AAS degree. Over the next two decades, Tom held various roles, from technician to service operations manager in the heavy equipment and manufacturing industries. Throughout his career, he excelled in team building and fostering a customer-centric culture.
In his free time, Tom enjoys traveling, watching his kids play sports, and golfing.
